Concept Cars
1 : something conceived in the mind.
2 : an abstract or generic idea generalized from particular
instances
Although the term concept car wasn’t used until 1980, these incredible creations have been around since the beginning of the automobile. When cars were first invented in 1886, the body of the car was usually made to order to the tastes of the consumer. Carmakers were solely responsible for the mechanics of the vehicle and the body was then custom made by a coachbuilder. This process was soon replaced by mass-production. Car shows quickly became a popular way for designers in the auto industry to display their latest ideas.
